The Glow of a Gindler's Christmas
'Twas the night before Christmas, And for the sweet things in life, I desperately needed Some gloves for my wife.
Of all the things hung On our beautiful tree, If I didn't find gloves, What was hangin'd be me.
I checked out the volume Of the mass marketers' places But all I could find there Were desperate faces.
But then I remembered If we searched all the nations We could find Gindler's stores In seven locations.
From Columbus to Weimar Straight down I-10 Or just head further north To La Grange, with a grin,
On Seventy-One's highway, Smithville's alive, At the great intersection With Highway Ninety-Five.
There's Gonzales and Hallettsvile Down toward the southwest If you go that direction, You'll still get the best.
In Yoakum of course, Mr. G has a place, Whether shoes for your feet, Or things for your face.
So with Christmas bells ringing, And my knapsack still bare, The store was still open, With quality merchandise there.
Waitin' 'till the last minute Was among my big boners, But Gindler's came to the rescue, They were called Isotoners.
One thing you can count on When you need inventory The selection at Gindler's Creates our happy story.
The folks there are friendly With a personal touch Whether you need just a little Or you're lookin' for much
So just head up the road And you'll see smilin' faces It's not just a chain Though it's in seven places.
'Cause the treatment you get there Yields a great Christmas feelin' You get kind o' light-headed And your heart starts a-reelin'
So Gindler's saved Christmas, And now that's the reason Why we think that he's Santa In this holiday season. |
