Holiday Poke Cake

Ingredients:

2 baked 9 inch round cakes, cooled
2 cups boiling water
1 pack Jello - any red flavor
1 pack Lime Jello
1 container whipped topping, thawed

Directions:
  1. Place each layer top side down, in clean 9 inch rounds.
  2. Pierce each cake in 1/2 inch space.
  3. Stir one cup of boiling water into each jello flavor in separate bowls and stir for 2 minutes until dissolved.
  4. Carefully pour red jello on first cake and lime jello over second cake.
  5. Refrigerate for 3 hours.
  6. Dip each cake pan in warm water for 10 seconds and them release it on clean plate.
  7. Put a layer of whipped topping on first cake then set on top of first cake the second layer and use remaining whipped topping.
  8. Refrigerate for at least one hour before serving.
