Sugar Cookies
Ingredients:
1 cup granulated sugar 1 cup powdered sugar 1 cup butter or margarine, softened 1 cup vegetable oil 2 eggs 1 teaspoon baking soda 1 teaspoon cream of tartar 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 teaspoon vanilla 4 1/2 cups flour Granulated sugar
Directions:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine sugars, butter, oil, and eggs.
- Beat until well blended.
- Beat in baking soda, cream of tartar, salt, and vanilla.
- Gradually add flour; beat until well blended.
- Cover and chill well.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls.
- Roll balls in Granulated sugar.
- Place balls 2 inches apart on a baking sheet.
- Flatten with the bottom of a glass.
- Bake at 375F 10-12 minutes.
- Cool on a wire rack.
Makes 6 dozen
